In Thane, Maharashtra, a tanker transporting 32,000 liters of boiler oil collided with a stationary truck early Saturday morning, resulting in one person sustaining injuries. This information was confirmed by a local municipal official.
The accident occurred around 4:20 AM on Ghodbunder Road in the Waghbil area. Fortunately, there were no reports of any oil leakage from the tanker.
Yasin Tadvi, head of the disaster management cell of Thane Municipal Corporation, stated that the damaged tanker has been moved to the roadside. One individual was reported to be seriously injured in the incident.
According to police reports, the tanker was en route from Shivadi to Sinnar when the driver lost control, leading to the collision with a truck loaded with 10 tons of wood parked on the road.
The official noted that the driver of the tanker was trapped in the cabin due to the impact but was rescued by emergency services and transported to a hospital. The accident caused traffic disruptions on Ghodbunder Road for approximately 40 minutes.
